If you have pictured yourself being part of our Sunday worship beyond sitting within the congregation, we invite you to become either a reader<\/strong> (of scripture of the Call to Worship), a leader of prayer<\/strong> throughout service, a musician<\/strong> (in the choir, as a Song Leader, or playing your chosen instrument), or as a server of Communion<\/strong>. Once you determine your specialty, please use the sign up on the kiosk in the gathering space to let us know how you’d like to serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volunteering at Open Door Ministry<\/strong>
Those who have spent time in our summer intergenerational service times are overflowing with stories of how blessed they were by being a blessing to others. That good feeling will continue monthly on “Second Thursday” evenings for Geneva friends and family interested in volunteering at Open Door Ministries. Every second Thursday will be ongoing efforts to “be hands and feet” for others from 6:00-8:00 PM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Music Ministry<\/h2>\n\n\n

Geneva Singers<\/strong> \u2022 Wayne Hallinen, our music director invites singers of high interest and various choir experience to join in a joyful noise. Rehearsals will be on most Thursdays (consult our calendar on the Geneva website) at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary.

Geneva Bell Ringers<\/strong> are also inviting new members! Come join the fun on Monday nights at 7 PM. You don\u2019t need to be able to read music, we help you color code your music, and learn simple counting skills. This is open to both youth and adults. Contact the church office<\/a> or Carol Bunch<\/a>, bell choir director, for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joyful Chords Ukulele Group<\/strong> \u2022 Rehearsals for Geneva’s ukulele group, the Joyful Chords, will be most Tuesdays at 4:30 PM. If you are interested in joining this plucky group, no matter your skill level, they’d love to welcome you to learn songs to share with Geneva. Contact the church office<\/a> for more information. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coffee Servers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Those of you who like to start committing to acts of kindness early might like to sign up to be a Geneva Coffee Server in 2025. Coffee and other refreshments are served after worship on the third Sunday of the month. Take a look at the sign-up sheet next time you are in the gathering space, and thank your for your service! Please contact the church office<\/a> for more information about coffee servers. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Geneva Quilters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Geneva Quilters are in full swing! Come join in for some fellowship. You do not need to be able to sew! Quilting will be the first and third Wednesday evenings of each month, 6:30-8:30PM throughout the year. All are welcome! Younger children thru middle school age must be accompanied by a parent. See Charlene Jones or Cheryl Sprague, or contact the church office<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
