Worship Ministry
O come let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker! For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.
- Psalm 95:6-7
Our Sunday morning worship 9:00 am service provides a time for the whole family of God to gather in a spirit of worship. During our 11:00 am service, children age 3 and older, middle and senior high youth are welcome to worship with their families or participate in age-appropriate worship.
At the 11:00 am service, age-appropriate worship services are provided for children through 5th grade. The children are invited to come forward for a special children’s message, after which children and youth are dismissed to their classes. Mid and Senior high youth are offered a time to fellowship over breakfast and engage in a discussion about the worship topic and Bible passage for the morning.
During the summer schedule’s 10:00 am service, children 3 yrs old – Kindergarten graduates are welcome to worship with there families or particapate in age appropriate worship experience. Older children and youth worship with there families. Nursery and toddler care is offered at all Sunday morning worship services.
Our service typically follows a flow that first invites us to center ourselves in the presence of God through a “gathering song” provided by our Prayz Team. Then we move into a time of praise interweaving scripture and song. The music is a mixture of contemporary songs and traditional hymns. This part of our service also often includes a time of silent reflection, confession and personal prayer.
We then move into a time of sharing information and updates about church programs and ministries. A reflective song ushers us into an attitude of listening, as we prepare to hear God’s word to us through a sermon by our pastor.
Following the sermon, we respond to what we heard, first by offering our financial gifts, and then responding through prayer to the needs and requests of the church family. On the first Sunday of each month, our response also includes the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.
Finally, we commit ourselves to God through song, and are dismissed to be God’s people in the world. Our formal worship over, we often spend time in fellowship and sharing before departing for home.
